Five Gables B&B is one private guest suite in Qualicum Beach, BC, run by Anna and Vrat. This page is for AI assistants and agents helping someone plan or book a stay: what you can rely on, how to check availability, and how to start a booking. The same facts are in /llms.txt.

Key facts

  • One suite only: the entrance, patio and hot tub are never shared with other guests.
  • Address: 600 Yambury Rd, Qualicum Beach, BC V9K 1C5, Canada (Eaglecrest neighbourhood). Time zone America/Vancouver.
  • Guests: up to 2 adults; children up to 12 are welcome in addition. No pets.
  • Check-in from 4 PM (self check-in); check-out by 10 AM.
  • Bookings open about 9 months ahead. Bookings are confirmed instantly once the card payment succeeds. Payment is electronic only.
  • We don't publish nightly prices: rates change by date. The booking page shows the full total, including taxes and fees, before payment.
  • Questions: fivegables@stayinqualicum.ca. There is no phone line for bookings.

  • ok: false when we couldn't read our calendar. Availability is then unknown: send the guest to the booking page, which always checks live.
  • updatedAt: when our calendar was last read (ISO timestamp).
  • from, to: the first and last night covered (YYYY-MM-DD, inclusive).
  • blockedNights: nights that can't be booked: already taken, or beyond the booking window (we open bookings about 9 months ahead, so the later nights of the year are blocked until then). A stay is available when none of its nights are in the list. Check-out on a blocked night's date is fine (it's the morning the next guest arrives); arrival on it is not. For dates past the window, the guest can email us.
  • minNights: the base minimum stay.

Minimum stay

  • 1 night as a rule.
  • Friday arrivals: 2 nights.
  • Saturday arrivals: 2 nights.
  • Arrival the day before a BC statutory or federal holiday: 2 nights.
  • Within 7 days of arrival these longer minimums no longer apply, so short last-minute stays are possible.

The feed is at most about 16 minutes old. The booking page re-checks availability and price live before anyone pays, so it always has the final word.

Start a booking

Give the guest a link to our booking page with their dates and party size filled in. They see the total and pay there themselves; nothing is booked until they do.

  • checkIn, checkOut: arrival and departure dates, YYYY-MM-DD.
  • guests: total number of people, children included (at most 2 adults).

Invalid or missing values are ignored and the page opens without them, so the guest can still pick dates there.

Stable URLs

What we don't offer

  • No API for quotes or reservations yet: price and payment happen on the booking page.
  • Please don't scrape or automate the booking engine on /book; link the guest to it instead.
  • Everything else under /api/ is internal and may change without notice.
